Textbooks are an easy source of quick cash for thieves. Once you are sure you
are keeping your books, mark them in a manner you can identify them if they are
lost or stolen. For example, put your name in the margin of a particular page
in each textbook.
DO NOT leave your backpack unattended. Backpacks full of textbooks are
frequently stolen from library tables while their owners are searching the
shelves for library books.
DO NOT keep you receipt in your textbook!!! If a thief steals your books
during the full return period, they can return your books for a full refund. If
you paid for your books with a credit card, Kennedy Book Store will refund the
purchase to the credit card number listed on the receipt. This is one way we
try to protect our customers and their investment.
With a valid sales receipt, textbooks may be returned for their full purchase
price up to the date posted by KBS management. Refunds will be made in the same
payment method used to purchase the books originally (cash or credit).
Textbooks must be returned in the exact same condition as purchased, with NEW
textbooks free of marking or damage to the covers and pages. Diskette and
CD-ROM packs must be unopened. Damaged NEW textbooks will be refunded at
the used price of the textbook if Kennedy Book Store still has a need for the
title; if not, the book will be purchased back at its current "wholesale value"
(see textbook buyback).
We are UNABLE to accept returns on the following items:
*Cliff Notes, Study Aids, or Test Preps
*Computer Software that has been opened
*Special Orders of textbooks or general merchandise
ALL RETURNS SUBJECT TO MANAGEMENT APPROVAL
